Just a reminder this Wednesday we will be having our rules meeting with the drivers. We did talk to some other tracks to compare rules and will update at the meeting. Once again we will meet at Rev’s Bowling, Bar and Grill (Formaly Oshkosh Lanes) at 7:00 PM Oshkosh.
In cooperation with 141 Speedway, Shawano Speedway and the Speedzone, the Cheesehead Triple Crown will be coming to the Speedzone June 24th. IMCA Modified’s along with IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Stock Cars and Street Stocks will be doing Battle @ the Zone. Modified’s will be doing Battle for a Bounty of $5000.00 with $250.00 to start. Sport Mods, Stock Cars and Street Stocks will be doing Battle for a hefty purse also. Payout for these 3 divisions will be announced at a later time.
The Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway officially closed their 2015 campaign with their annual Fall Classic event. Both days action was run under perfect fall conditions with clear skies and temps in the 70’s. A field of 147 teams filled the pit area in the six competing divisions.
Friday turned out a hot, muggy night for the final regular season race a the Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway. Three of the four title chases need to be decided while the other 3 just needed the final stamp to make it official.
With the 2015 season reaching the final few weeks, the Oshkosh SpeedZone Racway presented their next to last full point show of the season Friday night.
The Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway held a special Tuesday night affair to open the 2015 Winnebago County Fair. A field of 137 cars put on a very competitive show that produced all repeat winners this season.
There is always an effect when the moon is full on race night. Friday night was the “Blue Moon”, second full moon in a month, and it did make for an interesting race night at the Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway.
There has been plenty of activity in Oshkosh lately with the EAA Fly In, but there was a lot of flying of a different sort at the Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway with the Outlaw IRA Winged Sprint Cars flying around the 1/3 mile oval for their only appearance of 2015.
It was Christmas in July Friday night when racing returned to the Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway. Not only did Santa make a trip to make an early check of the naughty and nice list for this year, everyone in attendance received a gift with 132 cars running a very competitive program on the 1/3 mile clay oval.
