An early arriving spring had fans and drivers alike looking forward to an action packed season ahead at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. The tracks first race event of the 2012 season will take place on Friday Night May 4th as WXMM 92.9fm will present the five division program which will feature in excess of 120 cars.

(OSHKOSH, WI) March 26 – The Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway's management team have decided to move the starting time to 7:00 pm.

With all the construction going on and drivers traveling we felt it was vital to the Speedzone's success to move the start time to 7:00 pm said Competition Director Bernie Baye, The late cut off was at 6:00 pm which we will move to 6:15 pm. This should give drivers more time to travel as well as the fans. By starting at a later time will also give us more time to get prepared in the pit area as well as the track.

American made racing tire company Hoosier, to partner with Speedzone

(OSHKOSH, WI) March 5 – Hoosier Tire, the largest racing tire manufacturer in the world, has agreed to become the official tire of the Automotive Supply Company Modified Division, Miller Lite Grand Nationals and the Total Power Sales Street Stocks in 2012.

(Lowe's Home Improvement set for car show April 14, 2012)

(OSHKOSH, WI) March 16 – Lowe's Home Improvements teams up with the Speedzone for the yearly car show. The car show is set for April14, 2012 at Lowe's in Oshkosh. Drivers can set up between the hours of 9 - 11 with the car show beginning at noon. Trophies will be handed out for the 5 divisions that run weekly at the Speedzone, Automotive Supply Company Modifieds, Leon's Frozen Custard IMCA Northern Sport Modifieds, Miller Lite Grand Nationals, Total Power Sales Street Stocks and Lynn's Service Dirt Devils. There will also be other activities during the day sponsored by Lowe's. Habitat For Humanity will be on hand selling concessions.

(Winnebago County Fair Race August 7, 2012)

(OSHKOSH, WI) March 5 – Winnebago County Fair and the Oshkosh Speedzone have agreed to terms for a full points show with the 5 divisions competing on a weekly basis. The Winnebago County Fair runs from Tuesday August 7- 12, 2012. Admission to this year's fair, advance $10.00 and day of event $12.00. The admission includes admittance to the fair, rides and all grandstand events. "What a deal" says fair manager Tom Egan. The Winnebago County Fair will also have a tractor shuttle from the parking lot to the main gate for your convenience.

(Oshkosh, WI) March 5 –Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway, Oshkosh, WI - The 2012 race season will see a new face at the track, Joe Verdegan. Joe will be taking over the announcing position for the 2012 race season that was vacated by Dave Buss at the end of the 2011 race season. Dave is taking a break from announcing to spend time with his wife and kids, Dave is going to help his kids in their own sporting activities as well as schooling.
