Oshkosh, WI, July 6, 2012: One on of the hottest nights on record at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway a solid showing of dedicated fans and drivers were on hand at the third-mile clay oval. Overcoming oppressive heat a field of 113 drivers checked into the pit area for competition on Dominos Pizza Night of Fire. A fitting name given the weather conditions and a fine fireworks display which was presented by Speilbauer Fireworks after the racing events. The display was set off by Michelle Loy a former modified competitor who was the head pyrotechnic in charge of the fireworks show.

Race promoter Larry Stratton went on record saying the Speedzone is keeping the tradition of Leo's Speedway going forward.

July 4, 2012; Oshkosh, WI - When viewing the 2012 season schedule for Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway, the month of July shows three racing events to be held on the third-mile clay oval. What the schedule lacks in quantity will be more than made up in quality as each event has its own unique part in the 2012 title chase.

Oshkosh, WI, June 29, 2012: - Mid-season was officially reached at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway on a night where high temperatures and dry track conditions proved to be a challenge to the 115 competitors present for Hansel Trucking Night at the races. The evening was headed up by 29 Automotive Supply Company Modifieds. Also in attendance were 26 Leon's Frozen Custard IMCA Northern Sport Modifieds; 21 Miller Lite Grand Nationals; 22 Total Power Sales Street Stocks and 17 Lynn's Service Center Dirt Devils.

June 25, 2012; Oshkosh, WI - Last Friday evening three Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway classes had a night off as the raceway presented its first IRA Sprint special of 2012. For the next two weeks Friday Night racing at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway will see all five weekly divisions back in action.

The 2012 season officially reaches its midway point this Friday Night June 29th, as Hansel Trucking of Greenville, WI., will be presenting the show. One of several new sponsors for 2012 Hansel Trucking will be giving a pair of bikes away to lucky youngsters in attendance.

Oshkosh, WI, June 22, 2012: - The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Cars were on hand for the first special event of the 2012 racing season at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. The program presented by Budweiser featured the 900 horsepower winged open wheeled machines which were joined in the show by the tracks own Automotive Supply Company Modifieds and Leon's Frozen Custard IMCA Northern Sport Modifieds.

June 17, 2012; Oshkosh, WI - It's wide, it's fast, and it's about to be visited by 900 horsepower winged invaders! The Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway will play host to the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Cars this Friday evening June 22nd. The 1/3 mile clay oval is known for its ample supply of racing room, where the turns provide space for three and four wide racing. The sweeping turns allow for the 410 winged sprints to approach 120 mph providing fans with some of the best side by side racing that can be found.

Oshkosh, WI, June 15, 2012: - Close finishes, wild action, family domination and new winners all could be used as a tagline for this week's action at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. With NAPA Auto Parts of Oshkosh and Fond Du Lac as the presenting sponsor the raceway again lived up to its reputation as "Wisconsin's Modified action track". In the Automotive Supply Company Modifieds, Mike Mullen scored his third victory of the 2012 season after taking the lead from his uncle Scott Mullen in the closing laps of the contest. Brian Mullen who is Mike's father would finish the race in second, with Scott third claiming third. From victory lane Mike indicated it may have been the first time in their family's storied racing history that they have finished 1-2-3 at any racetrack.

June 13, 2012; Oshkosh, WI - A celebration of sound and speed will take place at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway on Friday Night June 15th as NAPA Auto Parts of Oshkosh and Fond Du Lac will present the first annual Midwest Fest Night at the races.

Regular racing program this Friday June 15 and after race you can go see Eddie Money at Midwest Fest at the Sunnyview Expo. Racing starts at 7:00 PM.

Oshkosh, WI, June 8, 2012: - Once again Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway lived up to its reputation as "Wisconsin's Modified Action Track" as 40 Automotive Supply Company Modifieds checked in for action on the third-mile clay oval during Capital Credit Union night at the races. Mitch McGrath would survive a late race restart to score his first victory at the track of the 2012 season. In the Leon's Frozen Custard IMCA Northern Sport Modifieds Tracy Wassenberg earned his second straight victory of 2012 pulling away from Joey Taycher and Rod Solem in the final laps of the contest. 27 Sport Modifieds were on hand for the program. All totaled 126 cars had checked into the pit area for the nights events.

This is the last week to use the wristbands from the rainout on May 25, 2012.
After Friday they will not be any good.

June 6, 2012; Oshkosh, WI - One of Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway's new supporting sponsors for 2012, Capital Credit Union will be the presenting sponsor for this Friday evening's racing program.

Capital Credit Union was founded in 1934. Seventy-seven years later, they have reached several milestones, “making it happen” for their members and others in the communities they serve.

Oshkosh, WI, June 1, 2012: - In spite of an occasional mist in the air a solid crown turned out for the evening on Graphics Point / Bennett Family Insurance Night at the races. The evening proved to be another action packed program at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway as four of the five feature contests were decided by less than a car length. The race that will stand out in most fans minds this evening would be the finish of the Automotive Supply Company Modified main event. Living up to the nickname "Wisconsin's Modified Action Track", the feature race came down to a restart with two laps to go in the contest.
