Oshkosh, WI, May 9, 2012: After a successful start to the 2012 season last Friday evening, the Oshkosh Speedzone roars to life again this Friday evening, May 11th as the raceway hosts another exciting five division racing program. The event will be presented by two longtime track supporters.

Practice for Tuesday evening May 8th has been called off due to an extremely wet track. Next Tuesday night practice will be May 22nd.

Oshkosh, WI, May 4, 2012: Just 24 hours prior to the first green flag of the 2012 season. Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway and the surrounding area received over 5 inches of rain putting opening night in doubt. But thanks to a skilled track prep crew the season got underway as scheduled with racing starting promptly at 7:00pm.

The County Parks department has agreed to allow us to use the main parking lot as our pit area as a one time use.

Drivers and crew must enter the facility off of Hwy 76 (usual pit entrance) and proceed to pit area. Spectators must enter off County Y, main entrance.
Pit lane will be used so if you can bring a 4 wheeler or golf cart to haul your tires and such to pit lane that would be help full.

We are racing Friday, May 4th! Watch for updates form the track.

On Friday Night, May 4th the chase for the 2012 championships are underway with 5 divisions of racing taking to the third-mile clay oval. (OSHKOSH, WI) April 30 – Speedzone Points Clarification
Clarification of Speedzone points system will be as follows, Modified points and Sport Modified points will be set back to zero. Grand National, Street Stock and Dirt Devil points will remain with the 5 extra points for getting their driver info sheets in by the cutoff date. The reason for the change, for the last several years we have not been sanctioned IMCA therefore we could do this. Now that we are sanctioned IMCA for the Sport Mods, there was a misconception that we were going to follow the IMCA points system for all divisions. This was not the case. We were following it for the IMCA Sport Mods only but was not clearly stated. Therefore we will make the amendment for the A Mods and the IMCA Sport Mods all other classes will remain the way with the 5 points.

Oshkosh, WI, April 28, 2012: It was a cold and cloudy afternoon, but well over 50 drivers entered the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway pit area for the last shakedown before the start of the 2012 season. While many of the area tracks had to cancel their planed evening race programs, rain avoided the Speedzone's third-mile clay oval and a full four hour testing session was completed as planned.

Practice is still on for today, April 28th, 2012 at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. Gates Open at 11AM, Practice at Noon. Pit Admission is $15. Track is in great condition.
