20 Races Showcased on Schedule
Oshkosh, WI, February 24, 2013 – Racing fans looking for a little variety to satisfy their “need for speed”, need look no further than Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. Presenting an ambitious 20 event schedule for 2013, this season’s events include a pair of Saturday specials, the addition of a high-profile Late Model race, and a continuation of great open wheeled racing events along with a strong weekly program featuring some of the toughest Modified action in the Midwest and beyond.
For the first time Oshkosh Speedzone will open its racing season with a special event. The first green flag of the 2013 season will fly on Saturday night April 20th with a program featuring the finest Sprint Car drivers in the Midwest. The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints will highlight the program with their 410 cubic inch machines which put out nearly 900 horsepower. The cars are the fastest race vehicles to be seen on dirt each season at the Speedzone. Joining the IRA Outlaw Sprints for the first time ever in the same program at Oshkosh will be the MSA 360 Sprints which will feature the top drivers from the weekly Sprint car programs at Manitowoc and Plymouth. Rounding out the show will be non-point Street Stock events featuring cars from all the area tracks. The IRA Sprints will return for a second show on Friday Night June 21st.
