Thursday, August 4, 2011 - Oshkosh, WI. -Sometimes life presents unexpected challenges, and these misfortunes can be overcome with a little help from friends and family. The racing community recently had one of it's own suffer some misfortune as M.J. Brenner and her family was displaced by a house fire which had occurred on July 23rd. Brenner is a competitor in the Lynn's Service Center Dirt Devil division and she has sponsored several cars through her business Generation Lanes in Eldorado, WI.
The fire destroyed her home, taking with it many of the necessities we come to expect in daily life.
On Friday Night, August 12th, Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway will be placing out two donation barrels. These barrels will allow those who are interested in assisting the Brenner family to donate non-perishable food items, durable goods and clothing. Her daughters wear sizes 24m, 3 Toddler, 7-8 and 10-12.
The barrels will be located by the main entrance to the grandstands and near drivers registration in the pit area.
Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway will return to action on Friday Night, August 12th after a week off for the Winnebago County Fair. Gates open at 5:00pm, with racing action beginning at 6:30pm
Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway is a 1/3 mile semi-banked clay oval located at the Sunnyview Expo Center which resides near the intersection of Highways 76 and County Trunk Y in Oshkosh. Weekly racing Friday Night racing continues until September.
