What started out to be a rainy day with gorgeous sun all afternoon finished with rain.
The Oshkosh Speedzone's staff diligently worked to get the pit area ready for the high powered IRA Outlaw Sprints but to no avail Mother Nature prevailed.
Mike Rabe Trucking, the track crew, called in the big boys when he pulled in the dozers and his big packing trucks to try to get the pits back in shape. Mike tried but when all said and done Mother Nature kicked our butts.
The Speedzone management was going to do what they had to do to get the show in but when the rains kept falling is was time to admit defeat.
The rain date for the Budweiser IRA Triple Crown Will be September 17. So round one will be July 16 at the Zone.
Next week will be Domino's Pizza and the B104 Sponsor Appreciation Night along with the kids ride along.
The INEX Legends will be making there first appearance at the Zone this night.
Pit Gates open at 4:00pm Grandstands at 5:00pm with racing to follow at 6:30pm. Adults $10.00, Students 11-15 $5.00 and 10 and under free with paid a adult.
The Speedzone is located at the Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh.
