After all wasn’t a third straight rainout all but assured with rain falling only hours before the planned start of race events? On a day where almost every track in the state canceled? What are the odds of getting the race program completed?

Race Date Added, Schedule Reshuffled Due to Weather!

Oshkosh, WI, May 16, 2013 – It’s called a reboot. When something isn’t working as planned it’s restarted. That is about to take place this Friday Night as Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway attempts to reboot it’s 2013 racing season.

Third show of 2013 season lost to unmanageable racing surface!

Oshkosh, WI, May 10, 2013 – It was a good effort, but effort alone was not enough to overcome the nearly two inches of rain which fell in the 24 hours before the start of the planned CitizensFirst Night at the races at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. The May 10th show was the third so far this season to fall to weather. Simply put, Mother Nature needs to cooperate to begin the 2013 racing season in earnest. For fans and drivers that cooperation would be appreciated sooner….. rather than later.

Due to extremely wet track conditions the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway has been forced to postpone the CitizensFirst Night at the races which had been planned for Friday Night May 10th.

Racing Returns after Record Setting Season Opener!

Oshkosh, WI, May 8, 2013 – It was a record setting opening night just two weeks ago with an overflowing pit area and a large crowd on hand as the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway opened it’s 2013 season. The last week…. The rains came postponing the planned Dan Kelly Plumbing Night until May 31st.

The Speedzone will host an open practice on Tuesday May 7. Pit gates will open at 4 and practice at 5. We are going to try to have the track ready earlier than 5 so be ready to rock and roll! Admission is just $15.00 per person. This practice is open to ALL race cars!

Due to an extremely wet track and a continued forecast of steady rain the events planned for May 3rd have been canceled. The Dan Kelly Plumbing Night at the races has been rescheduled for May 31st when we will present Dan Kelly Plumbing Night at the races presented by Oshkosh Lanes. The next event on our 2013 schedule takes place Friday Night May 10th when CitizensFirst Credit Union presents Scout Night.

Oshkosh, WI, April 29, 2013 – It looked like a bit of a novelty last week. A non-functional toilet sitting next to the Panske Enterprises souvenir stand beneath the grandstands at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway.

Just what was that toilet doing there and what purpose does it serve?

Believe it or not “The Lucky Crapper” will become the focal point of prize giveaways, information requests and even a means to have area businesses announced on the public address system. Its purpose will grow as the season progresses.
